If you wish to explore mindfulness and how it might be applied to your life but for some reason cannot commit to an 8 week MBSR/MBCT course, the option of an individual mindfulness sessions or a course might suit you. Individual mindfulness sessions are based on the 8 week programmes but can be adapted to meet with your needs.
Classes are usually an hour long. As in a regular MBCT/ MBSR course, there are elements of mindfulness practice, discussion and teaching.
Insight Out Mindfulness offers a 4 week introduction to mindfulness initially based on the first 4 weeks of the mindfulness based stress reduction/cognitive therapy programme. After completing the first 4 weeks you can choose to do another 4 weeks after if you want to complete the 8 week MBCT/MBSR.
